Follow the directions below in order to complete the tasks for today's class

 

  1. Watch the following BrainPop Videos and takes notes as to why they pertain to your research projects.
  2. The first video to watch is on Online Sources: http://www.brainpop.com/english/writing/onlinesources/
  3. The next video is Prewriting: http://www.brainpop.com/english/writing/prewritingorganizingyourthoughts/
  4. The third video is on Five Pararaph Essay: http://www.brainpop.com/english/writing/fiveparagraphessay/ This is the most important video to view. Many students are having trouble getting their thoughts together in the research section. The entire research section should be a simple 5 paragraph essay.

Differentiation

Choice Boards and Portfolios are used often in order to provide students with opportunities to show their reading abilities through various ways and in work that showcases their strengths Students will be placed in flexible groups in order to receive small group instruction. Groups will be created from ability and behavior, and changed as needed. Within each group teachers will scaffold, remediate, implement peer tutoring, and adjust instruction as needed
